President Barack Obama said in his State of the Union address (to a rousing ovation) that the focus of the White House in 2010 would be jobs, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Once again, he is hell bent on passing his party’s version of Health Care Reform and doesn’t seem to be taking the jobs situation seriously, despite the fact 1-in-10 people is without one. To boot, there was a surge in the monthly unemployment filings this month as more Americans find themselves without work.
I wonder what the real unemployment rate is? There are thousands each week who fall off the unemployment benefit package because they are no longer eligible, and I’m fairly certain these same people are still having a heck of a time trying to find a job.
So what is so much more important than getting Americans back to work? Well, besides developing a strategy on a way to ram his version of Health Care down our throats, President Obama is working on transforming 13,000,000 acres of land into National Monuments (source: Fox News). Why is this even on his mind with all that is going on in this country? The People of this country are hurting. They don’t need handouts, they need jobs!
This is just further evidence that this president is out of touch with reality or he’s more interested in pushing his own agenda at any cost so he can create some sort of legacy for himself; something people will remember him by. I wonder if he’s creating the legacy he thinks he’s creating?
