There are Federal rebates up to 30% the cost of a wind or solar powered system. In addition, there are usually state incentives. On occasion, your local eletric company might also provide incentives. If you add them all up, you can save quite a bit on a wind or solar system for your home.

Wind power defiantly has its advantages, but if you are in a location where the wind is not constant it will not do you much good. Do your homework before purchasing any equipment. It can be expensive!

Hey, thanks for these very important info (solar and wind power), was contemplating on starting a business with solar power energy in TRINIDAD and TOBAGO, but those basic statistics with solar energy you showed me is really not cost effective, because the average electrical bill is around (50-60 USD) a month so it makes no sense going into that business (solar energy), but what i like is the wind power, so i will consider that. thx

Thank you for your info. I am almost 60 years old and I cant understand why there is no wind mills in my area. I live in central Florida on the east coast. We always have an ocean breeze, because i only live about 3 miles from the ocean, plus there is a river, called the inter coastal that goes from Jacksonville to Miami, that is about a mile wide. I live in a double wide mobile in the county that is 3b 2b. I live by my self, and my electric bill is of last month 175.00 with my air on at 78. march it was 78.00. is there a gov, grant and wind mill that would be cost eff, for me. This would be a nice small start of a business around here too.
